Current Animalogy Program

Building communities!

Our latest program is all about the ways animals live in social groups and benefit the entire ecosystem! We showcase and discuss several different animals including:

  • Silkie Chicken
    • This is one of the few non-wildlife animals we present. The Silkie Chicken has been helping humanity for thousands of years, first as a meat option, and secondly as a surrogate. Today they can be found living their best life as therapy animals and in providing homegrown free range eggs.
  • Gila Monster
    • This lizard is one of only two North American venomous lizards. It is a calm and docile carnivore from the Desert Southwest in the United States. Their coagulating venom has helped develop medication for diabetes and wound dressings.
  • Black-Tailed Prairie Dog
  • Buteo buteo
    • Bird of prey from Eurasia & parts of Africa and SE Asia
  • Mountain Coatimundi
